The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
Members present: Lee Ellis, Bill Benson, Cheryl Swenson and Robin Berg.
Members absent: Gerry Karpen.
Ellis called the meeting to order.
Others present: Sandra Sutton.
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by; Benson, second by; Ellis.
ROUTINE BUSINESS:
Minutes of the January 10, 2017 meeting was approved as read, Motion by; Benson, Second by; Ellis.
The treasurer’s report was approved as read, Motion by; Ellis, Second by; Benson.
CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID: Xcel Energy, street light $274.76, park light $52.95, town hall lights $18.98; SECOG, annual dues $197.00; Palisades Propane, propane $77.62; Lucas Swenson, 3 ½ hrs plowing $42.00; Garretson Gazette, Dec. min. $27.08, Jan. min. 40.46, notice of vacancy $10.35; Jesse James, diesel $54.54; SDML, insurance $563.00;
OLD BUSINESS:
The Sherman Park Committee met on Sunday afternoon at 4:00. It was decided at the outset to earmark $3,000 from the playground fund for restoration of the existing Strom Park. The next meeting is on Sunday, February, 19th at 4:00 at The Bullet.
NEW BUSINESS:
Board of Equalization, meeting set for Tuesday March 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Sherman Town Hall.
Christmas Pole Decorations/Tabled.
