The
Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 7:30 p.m. at
the
Members
present: Robin Berg, Gerry Karpen,
Sandee Sutton, Cheryl Swenson and Ann Thiel.
Others
present: Neil Winterton, Brian Berg
and Bill Koch.
ROUTINE
BUSINESS
The
Agenda was approved.
Minutes
of the February 5, 2008, meeting were approved with
the following correction:
$12.58 was paid to Garretson Hardware for ice melt, not a clock.
The
treasurer’s report was read and approved.

OLD
BUSINESS
1.
Maintenance
superintendent tabled to next meeting.
2.
Federal tax
withholding tabled to next meeting.
3.
The Board of
Adjustment will meet on March 18. Property
owners who wish to appeal their 2008 assessment will need to obtain a form from
the town clerk, and return it by March 13.
A member of the Garretson School Board will be present at the meeting.
NEW
BUSINESS
4.
Thiel presented
the 2007 Annual Report.
5.
Bill Benson has
informed the Board that he will discontinue mowing the lot north of the Town
Hall. A letter will be sent to the
property owner regarding mowing. Thiel
will contact Toby Brown for a sample letter.
6.
Bids for mowing
the parks and the town hall property should be submitted by the next regular
meeting.
7.
Thiel stated a
file cabinet is needed for Town records. Winterton
said he would clean out the Fire Department’s cabinet and donate it.
It was suggested that the Town have an offsite storage location for
important records. Thiel will look
into this.
8.
Winterton asked
about the town vacating the section of
Motion
by Karpen to adjourn, second by Sutton.
The next regular meeting will be April 8, 2008, at 7:30 p.m.
