The Sherman Town Board met in regular
session Tuesday, December 5, 2006, 7:30 p.m. at the
Members
present: Robin Berg, Sandee Sutton, Gerry
Karpen, Cheryl Swenson and Ann Thiel.
Others
present: Neil Winterton, Bill Benson,
John Eslinger, Dwana Eslinger, and many area residents interested in learning
more about the proposed ethanol plant.
Minutes of the November 7, 2006,
meeting were read and approved.
The treasurer’s report was read and
approved.
CLAIMS APPROVED TO BE PAID
Minnehaha Community Water Corp, water,
$22.50; Prairie Publications, November meeting minutes and Public Hearing
notice, $62.83; Xcel Energy, electricity, $228.27; Lowe Sand & Gravel,
gravel, $804.63; Rodney Lowe Construction, blade, water & roll street, $900.00;
South Dakota Municipal League, membership dues, $49.54; Bill Benson, fuel
conditioner and lights, $45.00; Neil Winterton, snow plow parts, $329.69. Payroll:
Robin Berg, president, 6 regular meetings plus $10.00 compensation for

City Attorney, said the City can send a bill to anyone for cleaning up their
property, but there is no obligation to pay it unless the City has a nuisance

be held at the Sherman Fire Hall on Saturday, December 23, beginning at 1 p.m.

CD. A 1-year CD and a
90-day CD will be purchased for $10,000 each.
SPECIAL HEARING
Motion by Karpen,
second by Berg, to approve the 2007 Alcoholic Beverage License for The Bullet.

SPECIAL MEETING
Kathy Showalter of PlanScape Partners, Matt Sederstrom
of Fagen, Inc., and Buffalo Ridge Energy board
chairman Greg Van Zant gave a presentation on the
proposed ethanol plant to be built northeast of

Work on revising the City Ordinances
