The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday January 7, 2020 @ 7:30pm.
Members Present: Lee Ellis, Darrin Trower and Cheryl Swenson.
Absent: Gerry Karpen
Others Present: Trase Fisher , Kristy Trower
Ellis called the meeting to order.
Routine Business:
Approval of the agenda- motion by Trower to approval the agenda, 2nd by Ellis—all ayes
Minutes of the Dec 3, 2019 meeting were read—Trower made a motion to approve the minutes as read, 2nd by Ellis—all ayes.
The Treasurers report was read—Trower made a motion to approve the Treasurers report as read, 2nd by Ellis—all ayes
Claims Approved to be paid:
Minnehaha Community Water $30.00 water, Garretson Gazette $24.94 Oct minutes $21.60 Nov minutes, SECOG $208.00 2020 dues, Palisades Propane $251.96 180.1 gal of propane, Xcel Energy $280.93 street lights, $28.35 park lights, $48.46 town hall lights, Lucas Swenson $26.00 2hrs plowing, Grant Duncan $200.00 materials for drag, Cheryl Swenson $40.00 locking file cabinet, Dwana Eslinger $100.00 for benefit.

New Business:
1.Set salaries: remain the same as last year- $25.00 for trustee, $30.00 for president, $200.00 for zoning, $250.00 for clerk, $250.00 for treasurer.
2.Appoint positions- Cheryl Swenson as town clerk and treasurer, Town paper- Garretson Gazette, Town attorney- Dean Hammer—Trower made a motion to accept these, 2nd by Ellis-all ayes
3. Rental of Hall $ chairs- non- residents for hall $50.00, $10.00 a table, $2.00 per chair. Residents will be able to rent hall free of charge they will have to pay a $50.00 deposit. Motion by Trower to accept, 2nd by Ellis-all ayes
4.Rezoning application costs will be $50.00. Motion by Trower to accept, 2nd by Ellis—all ayes
5.Publish board vacancy for two weeks-earliset date to file is Jan 24,2020 and deadline is Feb 28th at 5:00pm.
6. Ellis made a motion to donate $100.00 to Dwana Eslingers benefit, 2nd by Trower—all ayes
