The Sherman Town Board met in regular session Tuesday February 7, 2012 at
7:30 pm at the Sherman Town Hall with President Lee Ellis presiding.
Members Present: Kara Duncan, Bill Benson, and Cheryl Swenson
Others Present: Gerry and Ellen Karpen, Sandra Sutton, Robin Berg and Neil Winterton
Routine Business:
The Agenda was read and approved with the corrections of adding the position
of clerk. Motion by Duncan, 2nd by Benson
Minutes of the Jan. 3, 2012 meeting were read and approved with these
corrections --Garretson Gazetteis the Town paper,Larry Sutton salary is 200
a year, and next meeting is Feb. 7, 2012. Motion by Duncan, 2nd by Benson.
Treasures Report was read and approved motion by Duncan, 2nd by Benson
Claims approved to be paid:
Vandersnick Excavating 189.07 cover tile, Minnehaha Community Water
25.00 water, Kevin Swenson 24.00 2x plowing, Palisades Propane 253.87
propane, Anderson Publications 37.85 Dec and Jan minutes, Excel Energy
256.38 lites, MCEDA 190.00 annual dues, Cheryl Swenson 61.46 hydrlic
oil and 27.98 printer ink and Bill Benson 12.00 oil.
Old Business:
1. Snowplow- Ellis will take off alternator and bring it in.
New Business:
1. Fire Truck-- Valley Springs has one for sale--Neil will go look at it
2. Swenson will get out flyers to see if anyone is interested in becoming one.
3.Checking on getting tornado siren up
4.Clerk-- Robin Berg applied for potion, motion by Ducan to appoint Berg clerk
2nd by Benson. Berg was sworn in.
5. The Board of Adjustment Meeting was set for Monday March 19 at 7:30 pm
